1.9.2010

Lets hope we have another great weekend racing at Cadwell Park in 3 weeks, hey guys? Looking forward to the trackday there on Monday. I certainly need the practice as I have only been there once before at the begining of last year. Had a fantastic time at the BSB this weekend at Cadwell Park thanks to some friends who kindly invited me and J to stay over in their luxury motorhome. Josh Brookes was just awesome over the mountain!

Great weather, great company and great racing! What more can you ask for. After some minor adjustments to the rear sets on the new R6 I am really happy with the bike and would like to thank Chris at Dynopro Runcorn for getting the fueling and tuning spot on. Throughout the day I slowly started to gain my confidence back and on Sunday after taking some advice from Foyi, got back into my rhythm and even managed to kick Gaz's ass in the second race after he had beaten me in every other. Didn't think I would get anywhere near him as he has certainly picked up his pace recently and was doing some impressive manouvres at the airpin. And as for Foyi ,only second time out racing really up the game by putting in some excellent lap times (1.16) and good close racing.

Nice to see the ladies there this weekend giving their support!

6.8.2010

It's been 2 months since my crash at Anglesey and after telling everyone that racing wasn't for me and maybe I would think about getting another bike for next year, I JUST CARN'T DO IT! After going to support Gary and foyi ( who were fantastic by the way) at oulton park 2 weeks ago I just had to get another bike. So I have bought a  R6 race bike which will be delivered tomorrow from the Isle of Man and I have booked in for the race weekend at Anglesey.  Carn't wait I wil upload the pics tomorrow!

5.06.2010» Anglesey Race Weekend

Everything was against me going racing this weekend, from the gearbox being faulty to replacing the engine with a borrowed one which was smoking to much so had to take it back out, borrowed another one, great problem solved! Then the van broke down the day before couldn't use that. Practice Saturday morning the bike wasn't handling right was shuddering and skipping the front wheel. After some minor adjustments and a wheel change it felt better but still wasn't right. Still couldn't get the bike sorted for Sunday so tried to persevere with it, not good and had big fookin highside on the last lap of the second race. So battered, bruised and feeling like shit today. Think it's time for me to re-asses for the time being and hang my leathers up for this year and maybe longer.

9.05.2010» Anglesey Trackday

Great day at Anglesey today apart from finding out the gearbox must of been damaged in the crash. It's possible the selector shaft has been bent from the impact as the bike was jumping out of 5th & 6th gear. Apart from that it was good to get back on track with the lads, they have certainly got better since I last rode with them. A few good wheelies from Justin on his new GSXR 1000, Foyi has upted his pace and definitley needs to apply for his ACU this year. Well done to my cousin Joseph on doing his first trackday, he enjoyed himself and wants to get back out there. Ste Hurst 'Tash' went out on a borrowed R6 his second trackday at Anglesey. He his quick and confident so let him take my zx10 on track and was really impressed he could be a great racer in the future.

Looking forward to the race weekend with Derby Pheonix as long as I get the gearbox sorted!

Adam Jenkinson # 11 as recently signed for Buildbase Kawasaki in BSB. Great guy and fantastic rider, anyone wishing to sponsor Adam can contact me through the website or on 07928181810.

7.05.2010

The bike is now put back together and the new fairings are on, although not to sure I like the colour scheme so may have to change it back to green. At least it's ready and I can get back out there!

Looking forward to the track day at Anglesey on Sunday. I haven't done a track day with the lads for a while, I think there's 10 of us booked on now so should be good fun.

3.05.2010» Darley Moor

Unfortunately we didn't get the bike finished for Darley Moor, still waiting for parts and fairings to be painted but should be finished in the next couple of days. I have booked a track day at Anglesey on Sunday so should be good to go by then, just to make sure everything is ok on the bike and ready for the race weekend on the 5th and 6th June. So with the bike still in bits I went to Cadwell Park this weekend to give Gary Whaites on the R6 some support. Gutted I wasn't out there myself, It's a fantastic track!

18.04.2010

The bike is almost repaired so could be out at Darley Moor on Monday. I would like to thank Alan Dodd, Gary Whaites and my Dad for their contributions towards the repairs also thanks to Lee Devlin and Tony Limer (who will be riding at the Manx in a couple of weeks, anyone wishing to donate can do so) for their time and effort in helping me to get the bike ready again.

Thank guys!

I would like to wish Simon Sykes all the best with his V8 stock car. He will be making his first appearance out at Northampton on bank holiday Monday.
